Information security is very important.
Let Brightsource find your weaknesses and security vulnerabilities before the cybercriminals do.
Vulnerability testing and assessment are the best ways to review the efficiency of your current security investment.
A penetration test is recommended at least once per year on your external, or public facing IP’s. The reason why it is recommended to only test your external IP’s is because that is what a hacker would go after when they are looking at your network.
A penetration test goes further in depth than a vulnerability scan. This test will exploit the vulnerabilities found in a scan and use this to try and break into your network, escalate privileges, and obtain sensitive data. This is necessary to help the customer identify risks in the network and make the necessary remediations. Identifying a customer’s vulnerabilities on their network will only help them stay secure to a certain degree, but once they get exploited in a penetration test is when the true scope of how risky the vulnerabilities discovered in an initial scan are realized.
A vulnerability assessment is a scan of your external or internal facing network. This will identify any potential vulnerabilities in your network. Once this scan is complete you will receive a detailed report going over the vulnerabilities we found. Consulting hours are included after the report is delivered to go over the findings and the recommended remediations. This is useful to help make sure the customer not only understands the report, but has a guide to walk them through the recommended remediations that were found.
Once Brightsource has built and implemented your cybersecurity measures, we will find the right security professional who is trained in ethical hacking and has the penetration testing tools to perform a thorough and sophisticated real world test for your business. Once this test is done, Brightsource will give you the results and our suggestions for how to eliminate the weaknesses that were found.
