Opening Autotask Ticket Details Using A Particular Web Browser
One of my colleagues asked if the Open Ticket Detail service for Autotask on Mac can open a ticket window in a particular web browser instead of using the default browser. He uses one browser for most web surfing and a dedicated browser for Autotask. We can specify the web browser pretty easily by changing this line in the workflow:
do shell script “open
do shell script “open -a [path to browser]
For example, if I want to use Firefox on my machine, I would change it to:
do shell script “open -a /Applications/Firefox.app
…or for Google Chrome I would change it to:
do shell script “open -a /Applications/Google\ Chrome.app
Remember to update the ww5.Autotask.net in the URL reflect your Autotask region. ww5 is for the U.S. West region. You can find your Autotask region number easily by looking at the URL in your web browser’s address bar when you are logged into Autotask.
