The following message ONLY applies to Mac users:

On September 25th, Apple will release the next version of its operating system for Macs, macOS High Sierra.

Brightsource IT recommends to all of our clients: refrain from updating Mac computers to High Sierra at this time

macOS High Sierra includes several features that we are excited to use; but, it also contains some major changes, including a new file system.  Despite thorough beta testing, there may still be issues that cause problems in the early versions of the software.  Unfortunately, Apple does not provide an easy way to roll back after upgrading to the new version.

Apple will likely prompt you to install the upgrade to macOS High Sierra and they do not give us a way to suppress that offer.  Please do not click on the button to install macOS High Sierra.  We will test the final release thoroughly and let our clients know when it is safe to install the upgrade.

If you have any questions about the new release of macOS, please do not hesitate to give us a call at 314-561-6600 option 2 or send an email to
