To our valued clients and our interested readers:

As you may know, Apple will release iOS version 7 tomorrow, September 18th, for iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch devices.  This software upgrade will be one of the most significant updates to Apple’s mobile devices since they were introduced.

We are excited about the release of iOS 7, but we are also aware that major updates to Apple’s mobile devices often come with some difficulties.  Previous upgrades of iOS caused unexpected behavior on email and calendaring systems including Microsoft Exchange.  Experience tells us that iOS bugs affecting email and calendars are typically discovered in the days following a release and resolved shortly thereafter.

For that reason, we recommend that our clients postpone upgrading their devices until 15 days after the software’s release.  This will give Apple, Microsoft and other software vendors a chance to resolve problems that appear after iOS 7 is released.

We look forward to helping you take advantage of the latest mobile technology.  If you have any questions about Apple’s new software, including the new features in iOS 7, please do not hesitate to give us a call.
